Civic education was introduced to us by the Centres for Civic Education in Maryland and Oregon in the year 2000. Marilyn Cover (Executive director Classroom law Project) and James F. Adomanis (Director of Maryland Center for Civic Education) were a great help in this. They also brought some projects to Croatia – Project Citizen and Foundations of Democracy. Now, we are MCCE Demonstration School.

Our teachers were educated to teach civic education in the civic education centres in the USA and in Croatia. We had a great support of the American Embassy, which can be seen in the visits of the American ambassadors to the competition we organized.
